Importance of Public Assistance

The public’s help is crucial in cases like this. The RCMP are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. Every piece of information can help investigators piece together the events leading up to Opanasenko’s disappearance and ultimately help bring him home safely.

Tips for Staying Safe and Preventing Missing Person Cases

  • Always let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return.

  • Be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts.
  • If you feel unsafe, leave the area immediately.
  • If you see someone who appears to be in distress, call the police.
