The Gaslight Anthem Embarks on Extensive Summer Tour

New Jersey's beloved rock band, The Gaslight Anthem, has announced an extensive North American summer tour, bringing their electrifying live performances to cities across the continent.

The tour kicks off on July 26th in Denver, Colorado, and will make its way through the Rocky Mountains, West Coast, South, and East Coast, concluding on September 1st in Detroit, Michigan.

"History Books - Short Stories" EP to Feature Billie Eilish Cover

Coinciding with the tour, The Gaslight Anthem will release their first EP in 12 years, titled "History Books - Short Stories." This highly anticipated release will feature four exclusive tracks, including a captivating cover of Billie Eilish's breakthrough single, "Ocean Eyes."

The band's frontman, Brian Fallon, shared the inspiration behind their choice of cover: "I had been listening to this Billie Eilish song my daughter showed me on the way to school one morning called 'Ocean Eyes' and I thought, 'hey that would be a great song for The Gaslight Anthem to cover.'"

Reworked Classic and Contemporary References

The EP also includes a reworked version of the band's popular song "Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts," featuring updated references to Asbury Park, New Jersey, reflecting the changes the town has undergone over the years.

"We had been messing with some of the location names to be more current - seems like real estate on Cookman Ave [sic.] is all office buildings and condos for very very rich people, maybe not the neighbors for me," Fallon explained. "So, we updated a few choice Jersey locations - not to replace the old version, just more of a current look."
